Just 3 Habits of Highly Effective People

Good morning everyone. I’m so glad to be here with you today.

I want to talk to you about how to be highly effective. We all want to be successful, but how do we make that happen? Well, today I’m going to share with you three habits that can help you become highly effective.

First, write down your goals. Writing down your goals helps to make them concrete. It also helps you to focus on what you want to achieve. When I was in college, I wrote down my goals for the semester. Having them written down helped me to stay on track and achieve what I wanted to.

Second, prioritize your tasks. Knowing which tasks are more important than others is key to becoming highly effective. For example, if you have a big project due at work, that should be your priority. Make sure you complete the tasks that are most important first.

Finally, take breaks. Taking breaks helps to keep you productive. It gives your mind a chance to rest and recharge. When I’m feeling overwhelmed, I take a few minutes to take a walk or read a book. It helps me to refocus and get back to work with a fresh perspective.

So, to recap, the three habits of highly effective people are to write down your goals, prioritize your tasks, and take breaks. I hope this advice helps you to become more effective and successful. As the great Winston Churchill said, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”

Thank you.

Feedback for the Speaker

Thank you for your speech. You have done a great job in providing useful advice about how to become highly effective. Your speech was engaging and informative.

Strengths:
1. You used effective public speaking techniques to engage your audience. You used an appropriate greeting to start your speech and included a quote to end your speech. These techniques helped to capture the audience’s attention and make your speech memorable.

2. You structured your speech well. You divided your speech into three sections: introducing the topic, presenting the three habits of highly effective people, and summarizing the main points. This helped to make your speech clear and easier to follow.

3. You used effective examples to illustrate your points. For example, you used your own experience of writing down goals in college to illustrate the importance of writing down goals. This helped to make your points more concrete and memorable.

Areas of Improvement:
1. You could have varied the tone of your speech. You spoke in a monotonous tone throughout the speech which made it a bit dull. To make your speech more engaging, try to vary your tone and add pauses for emphasis. For example, you could have paused after the quote to let it sink in.

2. You could have included more visuals. Visuals can help to make your points clearer and more memorable. For example, you could have used a graphic to illustrate the three habits of highly effective people.

Overall, you did a great job in delivering your speech. Keep up the good work and I’m sure you will continue to improve.
