My Japanese friend tells me “you are lucky like a star” (imagine a Japanese accent talking in English- youu lucky Like Star – each word is pronounced separately)
My American friend tells me “you are lucky dude” (imagine an American accent – you’re lucky dude!)
My close friend at high school time back in the old good days would say it in a blink of an eye “you are lucky b****” and, maybe, accompanied by rising a middle finger (one hand or both).

(Pause for 2 sec)

Now ladies and gentlemen, with deep respect, I would like to tell you:
“you are lucky like a star” (imagine a Japanese accent talking in English – youu lucky Like Star)
“ you are lucky dude” (imagine an American accent- you’re lucky dude!)

(Pause for 2 sec)

“you are lucky b****”, but without showing the middle finger (with a laughing manner and funny facial gestures)

(Pause for 2 sec)

I’m going to convince you why!

(Pause for 2 sec)

Imagine King Henry the fifth (say it loudly). He was the king of England in the fifteenth century. (Pause for 1 sec) Yes (say it confidently), he had more wives than you! And he had more influence than you do.

(Pause for 2 sec, bring your energy up, and have a breather)

Sigh…
Let me ask you this.
Did King Henry the fifth have toilet paper ( you can use toilet paper roll as a probe to make an emphasis)?
Did King Henry the fifth have clean water as you treated in ultraviolet light(say it as loudly as you can)?
Here is my favorite one did King Henry the fifth have a dating app that makes you mingle with women from all over the world with a click of a mouse?

(Pause for 2 sec, make an exaggerated funny face gesture)

(bring the tone down) No, he did not, poor Henry (say it in an empathetic way and raise your shoulders to show empathy and humor)

(Pause for 3 sec)

Another mind experiment!
Imagine you tell your grand grand grandmother about the advanced technology brought to us.
She would say surprisingly:
You have antibiotics! (say it in a feminine old way – bring the voice from your noise)

(Pause for 1 Sec)

You have shiny devices to ask about all the wisdom in the world! (say it in a feminine old way- bring the voice from your noise).
Travel over the continent in a day! ( say it in a feminine old way- bring the voice from the upper of your mouth).

(Pause for 2 Sec)

Nahhh (say it in an American slung with extra mouth open and show you surprising hand gestures to the audience)

(Pause for 5 Sec)

But she was as happy as you or even happier! say it in a way that makes you smart)
Why!?
This is because she did not (add emphasis) have the expectations you have.

(Pause for 2 Sec)

Imagine future generations look back at you and say poor Baqer (say it in an empathetic way and raise your shoulders to show empathy and humor). You did not have a time machine or a cyborg’s brain.

The moral of the story, you can be happy by lowering your expectations and being satisfied with what you have, and embracing human advancements.

Thank you and back to you.
