Introduction
Good evening everyone! It’s my pleasure to be here with you all tonight.
I’d like to share with you a message that has inspired me throughout my life: Prove them wrong.
We all face criticism and doubt throughout our lives. We can either be defined by that criticism, or use it to fuel us to greatness. I’m here to tell you that no matter the obstacles, you can achieve your goals.
The Power of Doubt
When I was a kid, I was told I’d never be successful. My teachers told me I wasn’t smart enough, my friends said I wasn’t cool enough, and my parents said I wasn’t determined enough.
At first, I believed them. I felt like my dreams weren’t important, and that I wasn’t capable of achieving them. But as I grew older, I realized that my critics were wrong. I realized that I had the power to prove them wrong.
The Power of Proving Them Wrong
So, I worked hard. I studied late and I took risks. I made mistakes and I learned from them. I put in extra effort and I refused to give up.
Through all of this, I was able to prove my critics wrong. I became successful, smarter, and more determined. I achieved my goals and I kept dreaming bigger.
Conclusion
No matter the obstacles, you can prove them wrong. You can achieve anything you set your mind to. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something. Believe in yourself, work hard, and prove them wrong.
Thank you for listening. Remember to never give up, and always keep dreaming.
Feedback for the Speaker
Appreciation
I appreciate the speaker’s effort in delivering a meaningful and inspirational speech. The speaker is able to create an engaging atmosphere in the townhall, connecting the audience with their message.
Strengths
The speaker was successful in delivering a clear purpose and message to the audience. The speaker used strong language to emphasize their message, such as “refused to give up” and “believe in yourself”. This language is powerful and encourages the audience to take action.
The speaker also used stories and personal experiences to illustrate their point and used this to create an emotional connection with the audience. This is a great public speaking technique as it allows the audience to relate to the speaker’s message.
Areas of Improvement
The speaker could have included more detailed examples to clearly illustrate their point. For example, instead of saying “I worked hard”, the speaker could provide specific examples of how they worked hard. This would make the message more impactful and easier for the audience to connect to.
The speaker could have also included a call to action at the end of the speech. This would encourage the audience to take action and use the message of the speech in their own lives. For example, the speaker could have asked the audience to “make a commitment to never give up and always keep dreaming.”
Overall, the speaker did a great job in delivering a powerful and meaningful speech.
